Casa Magnolia is owned by Simone. She and her partner Juan, live nearby on a large farm where they keep horses, dogs, goats, donkeys,  chickens and even peacocks!  Simone and Juan love all things local and organic and grow much of their own seasonal produce – some of which will be included in your substantial welcome pack. Simone’s philosophy is very much “farm to fork” – pick your broad beans in the morning and enjoy a mouthwatering Risotto in the evening!  Guests will have the opportunity to buy some of Simone’s home-made produce via our honesty box whilst staying with us – currently we are offering limoncello, jam and marmalades and flavoured salts.  Enjoy (and take home) some of the delicious liquers and spirits made by the Martes Santo Distillery which dates back to 1870 and are distilled with natural fruits from the Aracena and Picos de Aroche Natural Park…..We have even had the labels customized for us! Also available are lovely organic hand washes made by the Algarve Candle Company - (a mother and daughter team originally from Cumbria).

Simone loves rescuing old houses and converting them into something magical – she scours markets, antique rooms and even car boot sales until she finds that perfect piece of furniture, pottery or art that will complete the stylish restoration. .  She is currently renovating a neo-classical mansion in Higuera de la Sierra – having managed to rescue all the original downstairs floor tiles, she is currently re-waxing over 100 doors and windows to return them to their original beauty.
